You know you are a car person when the first thing you do when you take your car home from the dealer is:
Remove license plate frame of the dealer
Remove stickers or badges that advertise the dealer
Neatly arrange DMV paperwork and a copy of your proof of insurance in glove box
What else did I miss?! lol

I can’t believe that there are people who call themselves gearheads that don’t do this. smh

Copy the key and put the original somewhere safe (especially if it’s a used one that is already showing signs of wear).

Well... at least I took the plate frames off.

Go to bed because after speding half the day at the damn dealer doing paperwork even though you already had agreed on price and financing terms you still needed to drive 4 hours home because that was the closest place that had the combination of manual transmission and paint color that you wanted.

Then you clearly have never had a car with the right exhaust note.

Funny how I prefer the clean no dealer advertisement look when new, but on my 72 Cutlass I keep the dealer badge on and bought a dealer plate for the front. I guess after a certain age the originality element is worth more than the clean look.
